Terms of service
1. About us
The Site and the Bright Future store are operated under the published trading name **Bright Future Family**. In these Terms, **Bright Future**, **we**, **us** and **our** refer to the business operating the Site.
**Website:** https://thebrightfuture64.com/
**Email:** Thebrightfuture64@gmail.com
**Telephone:** 07495 596766
**Address:** 64 High Street, Standlake, OX29 7RT, United Kingdom
2. When these Terms apply
These Terms apply when you visit the Site, create an account, submit content or place an order with us. By using the Site or ordering from us, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be responsible for the order.
If you are buying mainly for business purposes, some consumer protections mentioned in these Terms may not apply. Contact us before ordering if you need business-specific terms.
3. Using the Site and your account
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when placing an order or creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account, except where that activity results from our failure to use reasonable care.
You must not:
- Use the Site for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes;
- Introduce malware or try to interfere with the Site's operation or security;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, another account or connected systems;
- Impersonate another person or submit false information; or
- Copy, scrape or commercially exploit Site content without our permission, except where the law permits it.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Site, our customers or our legal rights. Where practical, we will explain the reason.
4. Product information
We take reasonable care to describe and display our products accurately. Images are illustrative, and colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, lighting or device. Minor, non-material variations in print position, finish or colour may occur, but products will still conform to their description and meet the standards required by law.
Please review the product description and size information before ordering. Any explanation of a design's symbolic, cultural or spiritual meaning is provided for creative and informational purposes. It is not medical, financial, therapeutic or other professional advice, and purchasing or wearing a design does not guarantee a particular outcome.
Product availability may change. We may limit quantities where reasonably necessary, including to protect against fraud or unauthorised resale.
5. Prices, delivery charges and promotions
Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. Any applicable taxes included in the displayed price, delivery charges and the total amount payable will be shown before you place your order.
We may change prices or promotions at any time, but a change will not affect an order we have already accepted. Promotions are subject to any clearly stated eligibility requirements, dates and exclusions. Only one discount may be used per order unless we state otherwise.
We try to ensure prices are correct. If we discover an obvious pricing or product-information error before accepting your order, we will contact you and give you the choice to order at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We will not charge an additional amount without your express agreement.
6. Placing an order and forming a contract
Your basket lets you review and correct your order before payment. Please check the products, sizes, colours, delivery address and total price carefully.
Submitting an order is an offer to buy the products. An automated order confirmation means we have received the order; it does not necessarily mean we have accepted it. A binding contract is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation, unless we clearly tell you at checkout that acceptance occurs at another stage.
We may decline or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, such as unavailable stock, a payment problem, suspected fraud, a delivery restriction, an obvious pricing error or a breach of these Terms. If we cancel after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid.
If you notice an error after ordering, contact us promptly. We will try to make the requested change, but this may not be possible once processing or dispatch has begun.
7. Payment
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. By submitting payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use that payment method and authorise us and our payment providers to take the amount shown.
Payment may be taken when you order or according to the terms of the selected payment provider. We will not add optional charges unless you have expressly agreed to them.
8. Delivery
Available delivery methods, charges and estimated timings will be shown before you place your order. We will deliver within the agreed period or, where no period is agreed, without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is formed, unless you agree otherwise.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates unless we expressly say they are. If a delay occurs, we will contact you where reasonably possible. Your legal rights regarding late delivery remain unaffected.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. We may charge reasonable additional delivery costs caused by an address error or missed delivery for which you are responsible, but we will not charge you for costs caused by our mistake.
The risk of loss or damage passes to you when the products are delivered to you or to a person you have identified to receive them. Ownership passes when we have received full payment and the products have been delivered.
For international orders, any import duties or taxes not collected by us may be payable by you where this was clearly disclosed before you ordered. Your local consumer rights may also apply.
9. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Our [Return and Refund Policy](https://thebrightfuture64.com/policies/refund-policy) explains:
- Our 30-day goodwill return period;
- Your statutory right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days after receiving the goods;
- How to return an item;
- Who pays return postage;
- When and how refunds are issued; and
- The process for faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed products.
Selecting a standard design, colour or size does not by itself make a product personalised. The cancellation exception for personalised goods applies only where a product is genuinely made to your specification or clearly personalised for you.
If these Terms conflict with the Return and Refund Policy, the provision that gives you the greater protection will apply, subject always to your statutory rights.
10. Faulty or misdescribed products
Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or materially different from its description, contact us using the details below. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund under consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms or any store policy limits those rights.
11. Reviews and other content you submit
If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content, it must reflect your genuine experience and must not be unlawful, misleading, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, infringing or contain another person's private information without permission.
You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display it for the purpose for which it was submitted and to promote Bright Future, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Contact us if you want us to consider removing content you submitted.
You confirm that you own the content or have permission to submit it. We may moderate or remove content for a legitimate reason, but we will not edit or suppress reviews in a way that gives consumers a misleading impression.
12. Intellectual property
The Site and its text, graphics, logos, photographs, product designs and other content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property law.
You may view and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit protected content without written permission, except where the law permits it. Purchasing a product does not transfer intellectual property rights in its design or artwork.
13. Third-party services and links
The Site may use or link to services provided by third parties, including Shopify, payment processors, delivery providers and social platforms. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply when you use their services.
We are not responsible for the content or independent actions of third-party websites we do not control. This does not reduce any responsibility we have to you for fulfilling your order or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Privacy and cookies
Our [Privacy Policy](https://thebrightfuture64.com/policies/privacy-policy) explains how we collect, use and protect personal information. Information necessary to process an order may be shared with service providers such as payment and delivery partners.
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies. Where consent is required, you can make your choices through the cookie controls presented on the Site.
15. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. A loss is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence or both you and we knew it might happen when the contract was formed.
We supply products for private use. If you use them for a commercial or business purpose, we are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, lost revenue or business interruption, except where the law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- Breach of your statutory rights relating to products;
- Deliberate breach or misconduct; or
- Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
16. Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the event and will contact you where it materially affects your order.
If the delay is likely to be substantial, you may have the right to cancel and receive a refund for products you have paid for but not received. Your statutory rights regarding delivery remain unaffected.
17. Changes to these Terms or the Site
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, business or legal obligations. The version in force when we accept your order will normally govern that purchase. Later changes will not retrospectively reduce your rights under an existing contract.
We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of the Site where reasonably necessary. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption.
18. Complaints
If you have a complaint, contact us with your name, order number and a clear description of the issue. We will review it and respond as soon as reasonably possible.

19. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts and retain the protection of any mandatory laws that apply there.
If you live outside the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
20. General terms
If a court finds part of these Terms unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
If we do not immediately enforce a right, that does not mean we have waived it. No person other than you and us has a right to enforce the contract between us, except where the law provides otherwise.
These Terms, together with the policies and order information referred to in them, form the agreement between you and us for your order. They do not exclude any statement or promise that the law treats as binding.
